Bath ASU
Bath ASU was originally founded in June 2000 at the University of Bath, from where it supplied cytotoxic doses to NHS and Private Hospitals via third party suppliers. The company secured a MHRA manufacturing "specials" licence at its inception. Following a management buyout in April 2006 Bath ASU switched to working as an independent, direct provider and moved to new purpose-fitted premises in Corsham, Wiltshire. The company now employs more than 70 staff including pharmacists, chemists, biologists and technicians and is making further investment in staff and its premises, to keep up with increased demand. Bath ASU is the only compounding unit in the UK to be an Edexcel Approved Learning Centre and has designed its own externally accredited BTEC qualifications. The company maintains the highest environmental and sustainability standards. Working in partnership with the Carbonfund.org, we achieve a zero carbon footprint.
