About Bauer and Cottrell - founded in 2003. Bauer & Cottrell is staffed by ex Contributions Agency/HMRC inspectors with vast experience of all aspects of HMRC Employer Compliance work and the management of HMRC compliance teams. We are recognized as leading UK experts for our work. We undertake thousands of contract reviews each year and we have defended several hundreds of tax/NIC/IR35 status investigation cases and have won them all. We also provide Consultancy on tax/NIC status in general and assist with other technical NIC and Tax problems. We work closely with clients of all sizes and in all industries. Kate was also on the OTS (Office of Tax Simplification) team tasked with the recent review of IR35 and sits on the IR35 Forum which is advising on and monitoring HMRC's improvements to IR35.
