Broken Bow Public Schools
The school is accredited by the State of Nebraska and the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges continuously since 1915. School District 21-0025 (Broken Bow) in Custer County covers 426 square miles and has an enrollment of 822 students in preschool - 12th grade. Students attend classes in four attendance centers: New Discoveries Preschool, North Park Elementary, Middle School and High School. Eighty-six certificated professionals are on staff at Broken Bow schools. The staff is assisted by specialists from the Sandhills Educational Services Cooperative which consists of five schools districts in Custer and Blaine Counties joined together in an effort to provide services for children with disabilities. The Sandhills Educational Services Cooperative consists of 20 certified staff members and 25 classified staff members offering a variety of special education programs. In addition to providing a sound educational background, Broken Bow Public Schools offers a wide selection of extra-curricular activities including football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, track, golf, one-act, and quiz bowl in addition to a wide variety of special interest clubs.
