Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi

Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi has developed an integrated program to ensure the continuity of its services to customers in the event of any crisis situation, such as natural disasters or cases of fire. The program includes training of the bank's human resources, and the formation of a Committee from the Senior and Mid-level Executive Management, to handle the management of any crisis and the development of the bank's alternative backup systems. This move aims to guarantee the bank's immediate response to the needs of its customers, and to ensure that their business interests are not disrupted, in any case of emergency. For the past years, the bank has been training and equipping its human resources, in order to qualify them to competently handle the tools required for the continuation of the bank's activity, in the case that its operations are suspended. Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi's IT Administration has developed a contingency system, as an alternative for the bank's system, and has installed the technical equipment required for work continuity, after setting the priorities, in addition to preparing emergency processes in collaboration with all departments of the bank, to be fully aware of the steps to be taken in such situations. Dr. Riad Obegi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated: "We have taken an important step in the development of a Crisis Business Continuity Plan, due to our complete understanding of the commercial damages that may occur when confronting natural disasters or any other event, which would cost the bank time, effort and money, in addition to the disruption of customers' interests. Therefore, the bank's ability to respond to its customers' needs during any crisis is considered one of the main priorities that we are keen on maintaining, due to our consideration of our customers' interests and to guarantee the stability of the banking sector in Syria." Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi commenced its work in Syria in 2004, to be the first Syrian private bank based on Syrian territory in the past forty years. The bank's competitive strength is embodied in the 42 branches that are strategically dispersed in all parts of the country, as well as in its widespread financial correspondence network established throughout the world, in addition to the services provided by the bank through its high standards and international professionalism.
