Burlington Christian Academy

Burlington Christian Academy

Burlington Christian Academy was established through the work of clergy and business leaders in Alamance County in 1978 as an interdenominational Christian elementary school. That fall, the school opened with three faculty members and 25 students. Since that time, BCA has grown to 670 students with more than 100 faculty and staff. In 1996, we began classes for Middle School. In August 2006, we established a High School beginning with 9th grade. This first class graduated in 2010 and the students have gone on to represent BCA at various colleges and universities. BCA's students represent approximately 150 churches in the community with the same denominational diversity represented by our faculty and staff. BCA has become the largest non-public school in Alamance County with students attending from Alamance, Guilford, Orange, and Caswell Counties. Our first building was completed in 1984 and consisted of 14,500 square feet. In 1997, a 20,000 square foot facility was added. Our third 24,000 square foot building was completed in 2001. A new gymnasium was completed in August 2007. The school now houses a preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school.
