BCISB is the only Canadian school in Thailand and a part of the B.C. Global Education Program. Thus, we have a huge responsibility resting on our shoulders; to provide an authentic learning environment matching that experienced by students in Canada, studying the BC Curriculum. As the Principal of BCISB, my goal is a simple one; bringing quality Canadian education to students and preparing them to face the many challenges that await them on an international platform, all the while, instilling in them a strong sense of community spirit. Our committed Canadian teachers bring with them years of experience (a combination of 121 years of education) and an international perspective they are keen to share. We go above and beyond our roles to provide chances for students, teachers and staff to interact with one another and learn more about each other's culture and traditions. As a smaller international school we are confident in our ability to achieve this goal. BCISB is the school where everyone knows your name within weeks of your arrival. We are a tightly knit community and take great pride in our ability to formulate strong learning relationships within the school environment. It's been hard work getting to where we are today, but we are all excited to be here, and to have the chance to teach the sought after B.C curriculum here in Thailand. We are taking strides to increase participation from parents, provide more sports activities through the construction of a sports complex and are offering an engaging technology centered learning environment through a Google Chromebook program. Through these initiatives and more, we have successfully created a collaborative, safe environment in which students may explore their passions and grow into brilliant, head-strong, independent adults.
