BEDMAX who produce bespoke dust-free pine shavings for all types of stabled horses have a dedicated and committed team of staff. This is demonstrated in their employment figures which show that the average length of service across the company is 5 years, with 19% of employees working for BEDMAX for more than 10 years. James is one of the long serving members of staff who has reached this milestone in recent years, and he received his log cutter from Managing Director Mr Tim Smalley. Commenting on this Tim said: "I am delighted to make this presentation to James for his hard work and commitment during the last ten years. We enjoy having James here. Although he is quiet he knows his mind and is a stickler for detail. He lives on site and is a cornerstone of our team. He is a good example of the excellent team of staff across the company and it is because of the staff that BEDMAX, as a company, is where it is today." BEDMAX, which has held a Royal Warrant from the Queen since 2008, has topped equine industry trade body BETA and Horse & Hound's poll as the UK's most popular horse bedding. It has also won the BETA UKTI Award for outstanding export achievement. As well as providing clean, comfortable beds for horses, BEDMAX shavings are also used by farmers during lambing and gamekeepers raising pheasant chicks.
