Belmont After School Enrichment Collaborative

Belmont After School Enrichment Collaborative, or BASEC, provides high-quality out-of-school time programming for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in the town of Belmont. Our goal is to foster self-confidence through enriching programming, support and education that will contribute to each child's social and emotional development. BASEC offers supervised, age-appropriate activities intentionally designed to enhance students' social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. The philosophy of the collaborative dictates that the needs of the students come first, but that the special circumstances of our community are also considered. It is the further goal of the program to treat each student individually, so long as the accommodation of individual needs can be accomplished without harm to the general health of the program. BASEC recognizes the various needs of students of different ages and stages of development and uses those variations as the basis for the program's curriculum. BASEC is a family governed, non-profit collaborative. Family participation on all levels is expected and encouraged.
