Bernie Sanders

Grassroots for Sanders, also founded by King and Fredrick, is an umbrella group dedicated to promoting Bernie Sanders' message of fair play and middle class prosperity. Over the course of the last two years, GFS has expanded to 150,000 subscribers - who in turn have become the core of a dedicated grassroots volunteer cadre -, has reached millions of people, and has raised over $1,000,000 dollars in funds directly supporting Senator Sanders' campaign. This community is continuing its growth, adding hundreds (and sometimes even thousands) of new subscribers every day. The group is completely staffed by volunteers - who are full-time students (from high school to post-grad) and professionals in a plethora of fields, from information technology to academia to active duty military - and does not profit from the amounts raised on behalf of the Bernie 2016 campaign. Grassroots for Sanders has either partnered or spawned several other pro-Bernie sites, among which are: FeelTheBern.org, VoteForBernie.org, Coders.ForSanders.com, BerniesRevolution.tumblr.com, ForBernieSanders.com, Bernie2016Events.org. Grassroots for Sanders has been mentioned or featured in a wide variety of local and national media outlets, including: USA Today, MSNBC, VT Digger, Wired Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.
