LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethany department of athletics announces the hiring of Ashley Caldwell as the head dance and assistant cheer coach. "I am really excited for Ashley to work with our dance and cheer teams and build our spirit program," Dean of Athletics, Dane Pavlovich said. "Her passion for cheer and dance on top of her coaching experience give her the tools she need to take our dance program to the next level." Caldwell has been the cheer coach at Salina Central High School since 2015. There, she coached the team in different skills such as tumbling, flexibility, cheers, dances, stunting, and conditioning. Caldwell organized team events including community events, fundraisers, practices, games, and camps. As an athlete, Caldwell won two high school state cheer championships in 2008 and 2009, she cheered and danced for McPherson College in 2010, and she was a studio dancer all growing up specializing in hip-hop and jazz. Caldwell has also worked in real estate since 2013. She is currently a real estate consultant for the Re/Max Advantages Realtors, Inc. in Salina as well as the President, property manager, and leasing consultant for Liberty Property Management in Salina. Caldwell will also run the Bethany Dance Academy, which provides an opportunity for Lindsborg area youth from preschool age to middle school age to develop and enhance their basic dance and performance skills in a professional studio setting.
