We serve a simple espresso menu with traditionally-sized drinks, in addition to offering a 'house' coffee, brewed by french press, which changes every few weeks depending on what's in season and what we like. We also offer a rotating selection of Chemex-brewed-to-order single-origin coffees. We will have cuppings, or coffee tastings, about once a month, which are free and open to the public, and provide us and you with the experience of sampling different coffees side by side and in depth. We buy all of our coffee from the self-proclaimed "Fair and Sustainable" Counter Culture Coffee of Durham, North Carolina. For tea, we have a nice little selection of organic and fair trade teas from the folks at Rishi. We offer these by the cup or pot. During the summer, if it's not too busy, we will ice these teas for you to order, as an option to our standard black iced tea. Every morning we receive a delivery of traditional French breakfast pastries from Hawthorne Fine Breakfast Pastries, and genuine New York bagels from Whatsa Bagel, both located in Maryland. Our milk and some dairy products are from the grass-fed, pastured cows of Trickling Springs Creamery in PA. The granola is Michele's Granola from Takoma Park. As much produce as possible is from various farms we've come to know through the Bloomingdale Farmers Market. And all of our bread comes from Lyon Bakery, in DC. We have made a commitment to buying locally and sustainably, looking for hand-crafted goods wherever possible. Also, I'm kind of against high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives, so you may not find items with those ingredients here, if I can help it. Regarding not stocking Splenda - our milk is sweet, and our coffee isn't bitter, so give it a try without the sugar!
