Big Bear Plastic Products Ltd is a privately owned company, founded in 1998 by Gerald Bloom. He previously founded and developed Midland Industrial Plastics Ltd, a major supplier of interior trim parts to the automotive industry utilising a wide range of advanced plastic moulding technologies. MIP employed 1000 people across a variety of manufacturing sites and joint ventures when it was acquired by leading US manufacturer Textron Inc. The unique technical expertise and support of engineering colleagues from MIP remains available to Big Bear customers. Big Bear operates in its own large modern factory, and has invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment, including large thermoforming machines for single and twin sheet moulding. We are committed to investing in new technology, quality systems, lean manufacturing and industry talent, and are accredited to ISO9001:2008, with additional experience of TS16949, the automotive standard recognised worldwide. Big Bear employs an experienced team of engineers, many of whom have developed their expertise in the automotive industry with quality and supply disciplines. Big Bear is located in the heart of the UK, in Droitwich, enabling easy access to the motorway network, major rail stations and Birmingham International Airport.
