Mr. Buether formerly served as the head of Greenberg Traurig Dallas' IP litigation group. Mr. Buether was a founding member of the litigation boutique McKool Smith, P.C., helping start its patent litigation practice and has been honored as a Texas SuperLawyer every year since 2004. Before McKool Smith, he practiced law at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Johnson & Gibbs. Mr. Joe was associated with Holtzman Urquhart & Moore in Houston before joining Mr. Buether at McKool Smith in 1996.
