Blagrove Underwriting Agency (BUA) is a "boutique" commercial insurance specialist providing insurance solutions for SME businesses and professionals and are a founding member of the Managing General Agents' Association (MGAA). BUA was incorporated in 2001 and began trading in 2003 working in an advisory capacity to a number of brokers and insurers. In 2009 we started to underwrite Commercial Motor business for Markerstudy Insurance Company Ltd and Ageas Insurance Ltd (formally Groupama Insurances). Later in 2014 we will be launching 'Insurance... by Design', a suite of commercial products which we have developed specifically with the broker and end customer in mind. BUA is the sister company of Direct Fleet Insurance Ltd (DFI), the award winning internet trading platform for fleet insurance, who through their website trade with over 800 brokers in the UK. Our 'Insurance... by Design' range of products will use a similar platform to trade with our broker creating a fast, efficient and cost effective service based solution for SME customers. The latest technology enhanced systems coupled with expert underwriting will empower brokers to trade more efficiently in the SME market. Our regionally based team of underwriters will work closely with a small panel of brokers to create exclusive access to market and will allow us to focus on providing excellent added value service. We will work with 'A' rated capacity providers that support our vision, appetite and expertise to enable us to provide excellent insurance solutions. Despite our advanced technology, we still maintain a traditional underwriting approach and our key partner relationships remain at the heart of 'Insurance... by Design'.
