Bodegas Urabain

Bodegas Urabain is a young, modern family-run business. The name of the winery comes from our maternal grandparents, who nearly a century ago made their own wine from the grapes growing in their vineyards. Motivated by those memories and by the hope and excitement they always instilled in us through their stories about wine, the grandchildren decided shape the project into something real. It was during the 2003 harvest that our dream became a reality, when we finally entered the exciting world of wine, bringing a fresh new image. At Bodegas Urabain we have our own vineyards located in the land near the towns of Allo, Arellano, Dicastillo and Arínzano, all of which belong to the "Tierra Estella" region of Navarra. On 20 hectares of chalky soil we grow high-quality Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay varietals. After a strict selection process, we purchase our Tempranillo grapes in small amounts from local grape farmers. Convinced that the quality lies in the vineyard, we regularly check the vines and the development of the fruit. This allows us to decide when the time is right for harvesting. This way we can make quality wines from extraordinary grapes. Our wines belong to the Navarra D.O. (Denominación de Origen), our products are made under the constant supervision of the Regulating Council.
