Bogota Recreation Department

The mission of the Bogota Recreation Commission is to provide the residents of Bogota with access to a broad range of recreation and leisure activities. Within the guidelines set forth for each activity, all residents are entitled to participate in any recreation and leisure activity sponsored by the Bogota Recreation Commission. When applicable, the Bogota Recreation Commission is also committed to providing nonresidents with the same access to recreation and leisure activities. All recreation and leisure opportunities sponsored by the Bogota Recreation Commission are intended to provide the Bogota community with valuable leisure experiences that enhance the overall quality of life of each participant. The Bogota Recreation Commission is responsible for the administration of all recreation and leisure activities. However, the Commission is committed to involving all community groups and residents in the carrying-out of all programs, events, and trips sponsored by the Commission. The activities offered to the community can only be successful with the cooperation of the many residents who volunteer their time each and every year. With this in mind, the Bogota Recreation Commission is open to any suggestions and comments from Bogota residents that may help the Commission in meeting the leisure-time needs of the community. This mission shall be adhered to by every representative of the Bogota Recreation Commission, including the Recreation Director, Commissioners, Administrators, Coaches, and Volunteers. They have the responsibility of providing a positive and safe environment for each person who participates in any recreation or leisure activity sponsored by the Bogota Recreation Commission. With proper policy and documentation, the Bogota Recreation Commission shall follow this mission in an effort to improve the recreation and leisure opportunities offered to the Bogota community each year.
