Gawi Company is a diverse and enterprising company. It was established in 1977 and had since made Insurance Agency and General Trading its principal businesses. In its move to contribute to the country, the company widened its business to employment agency in 1985 to assist in the shortages of all categories of professions, especially the technical and skilled labour forces in Brunei Darussalam. In the same year, the company foresaw that computers would be an upcoming significant technology and hoped to inform the public by offering various specialized Computer Courses. In 1998 the company decided to add sales, assembly and maintenance of Personal Computers under its umbrella. In this New Millennium the company has continued to expand its business to being a Website Developer. On 12th March 2000, Gawi officially launched its first website called borneosearch.com. Another website called bruneiyakin.com is currently in the making. In its quest to meet public demands, the company has recently included Computer Networking into its string of IT businesses.
