Wilmington, MA - Boston Shamrocks Rose Mroczka (Lee, NH) has committed to Division III NESCAC Amherst College for the fall of 2017. Rose is the first commitment of the 2016-2017 season. Mroczka, currently a senior at Oyster River High School, is a three-year veteran of the Shamrock squad. "Rose plays a big role on our team. She is fast, skilled, and works so hard. I know that every time I put her on the ice she is going to work her absolute hardest," said Shamrock Head Coach Danielle Doherty. "Rose is also a player who can do some amazing things when the puck is on her stick. Rose is one of our go to penalty killers. Not only will Rose be missed on the ice, she will be greatly missed off the ice. She is an overall great kid. I know Rose will excel on and off the ice at Amherst College." "I am extremely excited to join the Amherst Women's Hockey program," Mroczka said. "I want to thank my mother, father, and brother for being supportive through the whole process and helping me reach my goal. I also want to thank Bob Rotondo and everyone at the Shamrock organization for offering me the resources and encouragement to succeed! Everyone within the Shamrock organization congratulates Rose and wishes her the best of luck with her future endeavors.
