We are a large community school who work hard together to maintain a strong and positive position in the locality we serve. We are passionate about working closely with our families and understanding their unique needs and the expectations they have for their children. We endeavour to understand and embrace one another's unique qualities, talents and skills. We have created a culture where we can acknowledge our mistakes without fear and learn from them. We strive to maintain an environment where hard work and effort is valued so that ambition is nurtured and we are able to secure successful outcomes for all of our pupils. We embrace challenges with openness and confidence in our shared capabilities. We encourage our youngsters to be optimistic and hopeful about their future and all that they can achieve. We recognise that by building respectful relationships we will flourish and that by developing resilience in our young people they will be better equipped to face the challenges of everyday life and in the future. We enjoy listening to and learning alongside one another and love to laugh together. We believe it is important to show kindness to one another and enjoy what we do each day. We are confident that these things will enable us to secure a thriving learning community and welcome all who wish to join our diverse and creative team. We are also delighted to be part of the Minerva Learning Trust from April 1st 2016. This multi academy trust is made up of a group of like-minded schools in our local area who are seeking to further improve outcomes for our young people.
