Briggs Transportation has been responding to the transportation needs of its community on the Jersey Shore for over 50 years. Our offices are located in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, but we will take you anywhere you want to go! Briggs was started in the early 1900's by Herbert Briggs. Checker cabs were used on the unpaved roads of this beach community then. As Point Pleasant Beach and the area developed, more vacationers stayed in town after the summer, Briggs grew with the community and their needs. The Checker was the vehicle of choice until they stopped being made in the 1980's. Briggs now has a fleet of over 125 vehicles including limos, taxis, school buses, wheelchair equipped vans and passenger vans. The private car/ local taxi & van service is still the core of the Company. Briggs provides affordable, reliable and quality transportation. Our drivers are drug screened , background checked and trained to provide the service you expect from a transportation leader.
