Brighton Open Market
Brighton Open Market is owned and run by the Brighton Open Market Community Interest Company (CIC) for local benefit. The CIC was set up to carry out activities which benefit the community of the London Road. It's main activity is to manage the Open Market site. This provides market stalls for local independent traders as well as exhibition space for arts and crafts, street performance and entertainment. Through the market, the CIC aims to promote local regeneration and community cohesion; promote the supply and consumption of local produce and fresh, healthy food and relieve local unemployment. The CIC was set up in 2011 and has overseen the redevelopment of the new site.
