The BCA Extended Care Program is offered to BCA students during the regular school year. Morning Care opens at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 8:15 a.m. when students are picked up by their teachers. After-School Care begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Students must be signed in/out by an authorized person listed on the student's pick-up authorization form. For security purposes, please be prepared upon request to present picture identification as it may be required prior to departing from Extended Care. Students in PreK-2nd grades are given directed play-time indoors and outdoors (weather-permitting) with age appropriate games and toys. Snacks are provided during movie time (4:45 P.M.). Food/drink allergies or other concerns should be expressed to Extended Care Providers in writing prior to a student's enrollment in the Extended Care Program. Students in 3rd-7th grades have a 30 to 45 minute teacher-assisted homework time. They also have gym, gameroom, or outside playtime once their homework is complete. Students in 8th-12th grade who remain at school after 3:30 p.m. will need to report to the High-School Study Group in the Library. This service is free to students waiting for a sporting event or practice that begins before 5:30 p.m. To register for this program, obtain an Extended Care Plan form from the finance office ordownload the form by clicking this link. Complete the form and return to the finance office. Billing will be monthly and several plans are available. To determine the plan that best fits your family's needs, please contact Mrs. Crutchfield at (301) 797-8886 ext. 163. When school is closed at BCA, Extended Care will not be provided. Parents requiring care on those days will need to make other arrangements. To aid parents with this type of need, a bulletin board for communicating with other parents has been provided.
