For 40 years, Brooks Construction Equipment has been proudly serving the rental market, focusing particularly on the needs of the independent operators that form the backbone of this sector. Started in 1975 with 4 employees in Quebec, Brooks Construction Equipment is now a leader in construction equipment distribution for the rental industry. In 1996, we joined the John Brooks Company family, giving us national reach and strong ?nancial support. 18 year later, in March 2014, the company formerly known as Uniquip completed the transition and became Brooks Construction Equipment. We were able to bring our success from Eastern Canada to the rest of Canada and beyond. Today, Brooks Construction Equipment is the largest distributor of light construction equipment for the Canadian rental industry. Brooks Construction Equipment has changed its focus to include larger equipment, ranging from towable air compressors, compaction equipment, large heating units, specialized scaffolding and more. A key growth strategy for Brooks Construction Equipment is to develop long term partnerships with our suppliers. Our goal is to assist them in the commercialization of their products, and to offer them Canadian-wide visibility. Our wide variety of quality equipment allows us to better answer our customer's expectations and support their businesses. To continuously anticipate and meet the needs of our customers, Brooks Construction Equipment is evolving as a manufacturer, as well as a national distributor. Our Kodiak line of products includes state-of-the-art generators, water pumps and pressure washers, designed for the rigorous demands of the rental industry. We have come a long way since our humble 4-person operation in 1975, and it is our commitment to our Statement of Values and support from loyal customers and quality suppliers throughout this time that has made us successful. We also remain close to our customers by participating in rental associations' trade fairs across the country and by inviting them to events such as our annual open house.
