Bryher Court Nursing Home

Bryher Court Nursing Home is privately owned and managed by local people. We are not part of a large, impersonal group of homes. Our Management team have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to taking care of our residents' needs. Our Manager is an Registered Nurse, as is the Deputy Manager (also known as the Clinical Lead). They manage a team of Registered Nurses who are on duty and available 24 hours a day. They have collectively helped Bryher Court achieve "GOOD" from the Care Quality Commission in the category of Caring. They in turn supervise our senior carers and nursing carers. It takes a long time to build a good team and we have staff who have been with us for many years and would not dream of working anywhere else. Our care home staff are trained to a high standard using a training company for mandatory training which includes e.g. Moving and Handling and Health and Safety. We also use the New Care Standards for care staff on induction to ensure all our staff have the knowledge to care for our residents.
