Buffy
Buffy produces silk-soft, 300-thread count comforters made from cruelty free and environmentally friendly materials. The company has committed the last 25 years to satisfying its customers with high comfort and low environmental impact. Buffy comforters are made up of organic eucalyptus fibers, which are "milled in a zero-footprint, Oeko-tex certified environment in Austria. These textiles require ten times less water than cotton for annual comforter production in America. These fibers are hypoallergenic and more cooling than the cotton of typical comforters. Buffy substitutes its own recycled microfiber, made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate, for down. Down is a product resulting from live-plucking of ducks or geese, who are then typically slaughtered. Buffy uses recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles are the source of filling for its comforters. This down replacement is finely woven, making it a lighter and softer option.
