Buttigieg Insurance Brokers Limited are leading local insurance broker acting for clients on all insurance lines, personal and business. The Head offices are at Zabbar Road, Fgura. On 15th July 1991, the company extended its operations with the addition of a branch office at Naxxar Road, Birkirkara. Buttigieg Insurance Brokers Limited are licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority. The company handles motor, house, travel, marine and other business insurance. Buttigieg Insurance Brokers Limited was founded by the late Major Joseph Buttigieg Senior. He joined the Malta Police Force in 1950 and continued to serve until 1979. Buttigieg Insurance Brokers was founded in 1979. On 17th of November 1981, a Limited Liability Company was formed, and he occupied the post of Chairman till his retirement. Nowadays, his sons Paul and Joseph Buttigieg Junior, are running the company. In 2011, two new directors were appointed; Emanuela Buttigieg and Jean Paul Buttigieg. Both obtained ACII certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute, and subsequently obtained the Chartered Insurance Broker statute from the same Institute. Both Emanuela Buttigieg and Jean Paul Buttigieg hold broker licences from the Malta Financial Services Authority. Buttigieg Insurance Brokers Limited is an enrolled company regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority to transact business of insurance broking under the Insurance Intermediaries Act, 2006.
