This concept known as frictional sliding created the opportunity to transform the way material verification and material properties are measured. From this opportunity, our Hardness, Strength, and Ductility (HSD) Tester was designed and MMT was established. Since then, with the help of numerous investors, government grants, and happy customers, MMT has developed five iterations of the HSD Tester and has developed it's first iteration of the Non-Destructive Toughness Tester (NDTT). As the these technologies have evolved, our predictions have gotten more accurate, and our team has grown. We have been able to develop relationships with many pipeline operators and have been able to do more in-house testing at a larger facility. As the demand for non-destructive testing continues to grow, MMT continues to focus on its core mission to develop innovative, technologies to utilize in field services that will provide our customers with accurate and reliable information about the structural integrity, material strength, and toughness of their assets. The 2018 team goal for MMT is to continue to work with our charter customers to determine how the HSD Tester will provide the best impact for cost efficiency and pipeline integrity in the context of service life extension.
