Cadence Environmental Energy
Chemical engineer Ted J. Reese founded Cadence Environmental Energy in 1975. The company swiftly introduced a new technology that would allow liquid industrial waste to be used as an alternative energy source in cement kilns and blast furnaces. This revolutionary new waste fuel is known as Chem-Fuel. Today, Chem-Fuel helps industries both large and small reach their sustainability and compliance goals. Cadence helps the United States cement industry stay strong through the use of alternative fuels, and has been the exclusive waste fuel supplier to Ash Grove Cement since 1986. Using Chem-Fuel, Ash Grove conserves over 125,000 tons of coal annually and has conserved over 3 million tons of coal since Cadence began to supply them. Cadence has continued to fulfill its mission by providing recycling services to refineries across the Gulf Coast area.
