Café Kubal
Since the beginning, Café Kubal has been committed to sustainability and community involvement. Matt Godard started the company in his basement in 2004, after returning from a trip to Guatemala and experiencing firsthand how Guatemalans had incorporated coffee into their daily lives. Godard opened his first storefront in the Eastwood neighborhood of Syracuse in 2007, and in the next ten years, Café Kubal's empire has expanded to six locations, with an seventh expected to open later this year at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. The Café Kubal philosophy, "Coffee for the Soul" is to make coffee with a deeper purpose and meaning.
