The Cambodia Daily
The Cambodia Daily was founded in 1993 by Bernard Krisher, a veteran American journalist who was formerly Newsweek's Tokyo bureau chief. Its goal was to establish a responsible news service to inform the Cambodian public as well as international policy makers and to train a new generation of journalists who would become a pillar of democracy. In September 2017, as a result of intense government pressure, the Cambodia Daily shuttered its Phnom Penh office and ceased publishing its once-iconic print edition. But we have since re-surfaced with digital-only versions of the newspaper, in English and Khmer, that are produced and administered offshore. We are placing a particular emphasis on boosting our outreach to Khmer-speaking audiences by producing Khmer-language audio, video, and written content. We are also taking steps to optimize content and increase access to readers, viewers and listeners using low-end mobile phones and low-bandwidth networks. Our Facebook edition in English can be found here (https://www.facebook.com/withoutfearorfavor/) and our Facebook edition in Khmer can be found here (https://www.facebook.com/withoutfearorfavorkh/). Our video pieces can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFihVEClgZDTIs7EkjuRwWw/videos and our Khmer language Cambodia Daily website can be found here https://khmer.cambodiadaily.com/ We hope you will enjoy and support our new endeavors.
