Cambridge Angels

Cambridge Angels

Members invest in and mentor high quality start-up and early-stage companies in these sectors in Cambridge, London, Oxford and throughout the UK. Typical funding requirements that Cambridge Angels meet are in the range of £50,000 to £500,000 - although it is worth noting that several of our portfolio companies have received more than £1m in funding from our Members over several funding rounds. Our Members have been responsible for a large number of the "Cambridge Phenomenon" success stories over recent years. Therefore, in addition to providing funding for early-stage companies, Cambridge Angels also offer start-ups the considerable benefit of a wide range of expertise, contacts and directly relevant experience in establishing and growing entrepreneurial businesses successfully. Cambridge Angels was founded by Robert Sansom and David Cleevely in 2001. Robert Sansom was the founding chair, and David Cleevely and John Yeomans were subsequent chairs. Peter Cowley has been our current chair since 2016. Peter Cowley
