CAMPUS USA Credit Union was originally chartered in 1935 as Gainesville Florida Campus Federal Credit Union. In the late 90s, the company converted to a state of Florida Charter under the company current name. As a non-profit cooperative, the company is owned by company members. Profits are returned to company member-owners in the form of no- and low- cost financial services. Since company members own CAMPUS, it can never be bought, nor can merge with another institution without the company members approval. CAMPUS USA mission is to empower members so that they may reach its full potential financially and to provide world-class service. Empowering members includes offering best-of-market rates on all types of loans, savings, and CDs.
