Canada Life Financial Corporation (CLFC) is the parent company of The Canada Life Assurance Company and is a subsidiary of the publicly-traded financial services holding company, Great-West Lifeco Inc. Canada Life Financial Corporation common shares ceased trading on the TSX and the NYSE at market close on July 9, 2003. As of July 10, 2003 Great-West Lifeco acquired 100% of the common shares of Canada Life Financial Corporation. Common shares of Great-West Lifeco are publicly traded on the TSX under ticker symbol GWO.
