Established over 10 years ago and based in our dynamic studio in the heart of Sheffield, Can Studios Ltd. develop software solutions for learning and human resources requirements. We are experienced in delivering the highest quality online applications and courses that conform to the latest coding, usability and W3C (The World Wide Web Consortium) accessibility standards across a diverse range of industries. We work extensively with government agencies, corporate clients and educational bodies of all sizes to produce bespoke learning materials and applications. We pride ourselves on our creative atmosphere, which encourages our programmers and designers to problem-solve together while always seeking to work at the cutting edge and embrace new technologies and standards. Over the last ten years Can Studios have been actively involved in the development of specifications and standards defining the future of interoperable eLearning. Our technical team contributed significantly to the development of version 1.2 and subsequent 1.2.1 of the IMS Question and Test Interoperability specification (QTI). Our development and delivery tools represent one of the most extensive implementations of the specification and we are committed to developing the solution in line with emerging specifications. We offer the following tailored services; graphic design, consultation & training, web design & Internet services, as well as learning solutions and gaming. We have been heavily involved in the development of learning materials for Becta and the NLN and have developed many applications for educational publishers such as Folens, Collins Education, Pearson, Nelson Thornes and Cambridge Hitachi. Can Studios are Framework suppliers to the Environment Agency. We have created a CMS database that provides a flexible environment for the management of learning materials, in addition to several web-based learning portals. We have also been privileged to have created approximately one hundred hours of e-learning materials that are accessed daily by thousands of users. In addition to the Environment Agency, we have also produced e-learning and web-based support applications for the Highways Agency and Natural England in the public sector, as well as several corporate clients in the private sector. We are preferred suppliers to the Environment Agency.
