Cardigan Mountain School
Cardigan Mountain School, also called Cardigan or CMS, for short, is an all-boys independent boarding school for grades six through nine. It was founded in 1945 on land provided by Dartmouth College. The school has numerous dormitories and houses for boarding students. It has created an environment designed to nurture not only their academic achievement, but also their physical, social, ethical, and personal growth. Everything herefrom teaching and learning to arts, sports, and funis geared toward helping boys reach their potential. It offers boys just the right amounts of structure and independence, challenge and support, and a focus on both individual growth and a strong, positive sense of community. This time-tested, comprehensive approach to the education of boys is what it calls the Cardigan Way.
