Carglass in Germany specializes in the repair and replacement of vehicle glass. In Germany, Carglass® employs some 2,200 people, of whom approximately 1,500 are specially trained Carglass® technicians. More than 300 employees work in the head office in Cologne, while more than 200 agents are employed in the Customer Contact Center (Call Center). The company processes approximately 1.2 million customer contacts per year and helps car drivers throughout Germany, either in one of the 330 service centres or in one of the more than 380 mobile units. Since 1990, Carglass® has belonged to the international Belron family and has been trading as Carglass® GmbH since 1993. Belron is the world's largest company specializing in the repair of damage to vehicle glass. The Group employs roughly 26,300 people throughout the world, of whom more than half are highly qualified technicians, and operates in more than 30 countries on five continents. In 2016, the company recorded a global turnover of over EUR 3.3 billion from the approximately 11.3 million vehicle glass repairs and replacements.
