Thanks for taking the time to visit us here at Carl's Place. I started this company back in 2006 when I was looking to put up a big screen outside to enjoy with some friends. At the time, it was quite difficult to find anything of the size we wanted, so I ended up purchasing a large quantity just to get the amount I wanted to use. Having run into several other people online who were looking for the same thing, I sold off what I didn't use to them. Eventually I ran out of material, but the requests kept coming. So, I got some more material and put up a website to make it easier to buy. After a couple years of cutting and shipping fabric on the side, I was getting enough requests to make it a full-time venture and did exactly that. It wasn't long until it was more than I could do alone, and we now have several great people helping to answer your questions, ship orders, and sew screens! Since starting this business, we have taken many cues from customers and online communities on how we could help. From offering sewn screens and frame components to other materials to choose from, we try to fill the gaps that other vendors leave in what they offer to screen builders and outdoor movie enthusiasts. Also from the beginning, I have done my best to make sure that we follow the golden rule: I want our customers to be treated the way I personally expect to be treated when shopping online. I want our customers to get their orders as fast as possible without complications. I want any questions to be handled promptly, fully, and courteously. Most of all, though, I want to offer the best value to our customers. I don't sell anything unless it's something I would buy myself and for a price I would pay myself.
