Carn Brea Leisure Centre Trust are one of the first companies to pledge their support to the campaign being run by the charity encouraging businesses and individuals to make a Christmas donation in lieu of sending cards. "At Christmas time it is so easy to get bogged down in the normal tradition of writing out card after card, but this year we wanted to change that and do something that could really make a difference. Several of our employees have had experience with Cornwall Hospice Care in the past, making it even more poignant for us to raise money for such an excellent local charity," said Tilly Smith, Sales and Marketing Manager at Carn Brea Leisure Centre. "We have delivered some festive posters and a Christmas Collection Tin to the team at Carn Brea so that they can begin to make their donations, we are so pleased to have their support especially as the leisure centre is at the heart of the local community," said Karen Murrish, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Cornwall Hospice Care. "Many companies are making the choice not to send Christmas cards. Instead they make a donation to a worthy cause, so this year we are asking people to consider making Cornwall Hospice Care their charity of choice" added Karen. Businesses taking part in the campaign and making a Christmas donation can do so online or with the use of a donation tin and all will be offered a pack of materials.
