Carolina Shoe

Carolina Shoe Company was founded in 1963 as a new division of H. H. Brown. A manufacturing facility was set up in Morganton, NC, where manufacturing operations existed until 2000, when it was divided up among factories in the U.S. and overseas. From the company's inception, Carolina's focus has been to design and engineer functional work and safety footwear for men and women, with a particular emphasis on patented technologies. Representatives from Carolina sat on the original committee that developed the ANSI standards for Safety Toe footwear. Those same standards still exist today.
