As the name suggests, Casa Dell'Arte -meaning "house of art" in Latin- is a brand dedicated to art. Casa Dell'Arte was established in 2007 by a leading Turkish art collector family. Mr. Büyükkusoglu, a reputed businessman in the automotive sector in Turkey, had been collecting art passionately for more than 20 years when the family decided "to share the family collection with other art enthusiasts". The brand's first establishment, Casa Dell'Arte Residence was created by turning the family owned fusion party-house into an art hotel in 2007. The Residence is located in one of the most enchanting spots of Bodrum, the old fishermen's village of Torba. Bodrum is one of the most famous holiday destinations in Turkey in the Mediterranean region, a town indicated as a rival to Capri and Ibiza. Mrs. Büyükkusoglu, as an experienced designer, undertook the design part. Her daughter Ahu, a well known entrepreneur came up with the brand / business concept and runs the operations of the brand. The younger daughter Gamze, a vivid fine arts graduate influences the artistic direction of the collection. The old fusion party-house was turned into a museum-like 12 suite boutique hotel where guests can enjoy a romantic, luxurious vacation filled with art. Every stone, every painting, every sculpture at the hotel is an original piece of artwork. It is a spot created for those who appreciate art. The owners' collection is exhibited throughout the hotel, in the lobby, in the suites, in the common area, in the garden and even by the pool. For the ultimate romantic getaway, guests below the age twelve aren't allowed to stay in the residence section. Casa Dell'Arte Residence became so popular in its first season attracting world-wide well known names such as Abramovich and the former Citi Group CEO Sandy Weill that Büyükkusoglu family decided to extend the brand with the addition of an art management company and an art gallery under the premises of the Casa Dell'Arte Art Management. Established at the end of 2007, with the partnership of another collector family, the Zilberman, Casa Dell'Arte Art Management became the second establishment of the art brand. The art management opened an art gallery, which is located on the most popular pedestrian zone of Istanbul, the Istiklal Street, in the famous art nouveau building, Misir Apartment. The Casa Dell'Arte Gallery became the new attraction point of the art enthusiasts and collectors in Istanbul, with its dynamic spirit and innovative approach. In July 2008, another house of art, the kids' friendly Casa Dell'Arte Luxury Family Resort was opened for the families who would like to share an art experience and the ultimate family vacation. The opening of the village was crowned by the exhibition of a saluted work by Botero "The Bedroom". The Luxury Family Resort has 37 guest suites and is a continuation of the concept of the Casa Dell'Arte Residence, with artworks also being exhibited in all the rooms and the common areas. All of the artworks on display belong to the artists working under Casa Dell'Arte Art Management.
