Hereford - a beautiful historic city to visit any time of the year. Castle Cliffe East has been lovingly restored to create a luxurious self-catering holiday property for up to six guests at a time. It has a four-poster bed, open fires and period furnishings throughout, as well as all the modern amenities one would expect to find in 4 star accommodation. Such a beautiful house! You seem to have thought of everything any guest could ever want. We really enjoyed our evenings in this very relaxing house. Originally the medieval watergate of Hereford Castle, the main sandstone walls of Castle Cliffe East are five feet thick and formed an essential part of the fortifications. Externally you can still see the 13th century arch that visitors to the castle, arriving by boat, would have used to enter the castle grounds. This arch now forms the bathroom window.
