Catalyst Directions

Catalyst Directions is a website design company with beginnings in Bundaberg back in 1996 with an Internet Service Provider - the first local provider in Bundaberg. From the back room of the office, websites were developed for small businesses and over the years the team evolved to the point we are today with clients from around Australia and the world including USA and Germany. The team at Catalyst has changed over the years since 1996 but the focus has always been the same - to provide a quality product to our clients that fits their needs and will grow with their business. The owner, Bevan Moller, has been with the company since 2002, when he was fresh out of university at CQ Uni with a Bachelor of Information Technology with Distinction. He worked in various roles in the company including graphic designer and website developer providing a solid grounding across the board allowing for some clever lateral thinking for the wide variety of clients from small business to local government and international organisations. Bevan has a passion for helping businesses get started online with simple steps to start the process going. In his own words, "it's no point building a mammoth website if the client isn't equipped to manage it, so we help the client start with something manageable and then work up from there over time". The latest in the online offering from Bevan is social media training starting with Facebook showing clients how to get started and get moving with Facebook for their business. For many years Carey Young has worked with Catalyst as a website developer and programmer. He doesn't have graphic design skills (although he can draw a great stick person) but fortunately he's an ace programmer holding a Bachelor of Information Technology with Distinction. Carey's ability to write programming code has meant some great leaps in productivity in our work and some very clever new functions on clients websites with features from member logins to automated processes, interactive forms and online shopping. Carey's also the friendly person on the phone when clients need a hand updating their website via their special administration area. One of the first questions we are often asked about websites is "how do I get my website in Google? and for that we have Maarten van Bokkel. Need we say more - Maarten is a machine when it comes to producing results for websites in Google. Bevan met Maarten way back in the 1990s when Maarten was busy working away in his own Internet Marketing business getting small businesses and large corporations top rankings in Google (and winning awards for it). Maarten is now part of the Catalyst family, providing our clients not only top rankings in Google but more importantly significant increases in website visitors. And what of those gorgeous website designs? Well that would be Aimee Brettell. Aimee's been designing websites and print materials for Catalyst for many years and has an excellent eye for design and attention to detail - the perfect blend of creative design and a focus on the client's business objectives. There's a few others in the team that pop in occasionally to help out which you may see or speak to from time to time as well, these include specialists that we contract from time to time to get the best job for our clients as well as some of our good friends that have moved on to other endeavours but still keep in contact and help out from time to time when we need a hand. So if you need direction in your business, talk to us at Catalyst and we'll help you sort through the online jungle and if you need something more like an accountant, photographer or print company we have strong business relationships with many Bundaberg businesses and can refer to someone that can help you out.
