Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc. was founded in 1985 in Ashland, Oregon, home of the acclaimed Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The company’s founder, John Schweiger, had been a senior executive with major corporations before settling in Ashland and developing an interest in the local movie theatre with a history that dated back to 1937. After renovating and operating Ashland’s Varsity theatre, Mr. Schweiger’s enthusiasm for the film exhibition industry fueled his company’s expansion while acquiring or building additional theatres in smaller to medium-sized markets up and down the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and most recently Alaska). Coming Attractions surpasses its patrons’ expectations by continuously providing modern state of the art theatre complexes that boast all the amenities of larger facilities in major markets. With professional management, attention is given to the customer to ensure that their movie experience is a great entertainment value. Every detail is top priority with management to establish and maintain high standards for cleanliness in our lobbies, auditoriums, restrooms, and quality state of the art presentation in our auditoriums. Courteous attendants staff each of the concession stands and monitor our auditoriums. The staff is efficient and thoroughly trained. THE ENTIRE COMPANY IS DEDICATED TO 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Utilizing the latest in Digital Projection, Digital Sound, 3D equipment and wall-to-wall screens, Coming Attractions presents a film the way filmmakers intended. The comfort of our customers is essential, with stadium seating, plush seats and arm rests. All Box Offices are computerized, allowing for advance ticket purchasing hours or even days before a performance. In addition to facility upgrades, Coming Attractions has expanded to one hundred fifty-two screens, and hopes to expand our reach to even more moviegoers in a variety of areas.
