Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is a dynamic progressive Council based in Northern Ireland. We have a population just over 140,000 and a geographical area of some 2,000 km2, offering a superior quality of living and a highly attractive tourism offer due to the unique geographic location with a coastline which stretches over 140km along the Atlantic Coast. The area offers 31 historic parks and gardens, 15 national nature reserves and 4 areas of outstanding natural beauty. The Borough is famous for golf on the world stage with 12 golf courses - the Royal Portrush Golf Course having hosted the 2012 Irish Open and was also recently selected to host the Open Championship in 2019. Rich in agriculture with over 1,800 farms the Causeway is noted for its superior quality produce and well renowned restaurants as well as the range oftop-classeducationfacilities - there is two further andhighereducation colleges andtheUlster University in Coleraine, which sites the Ulster University Cloud Computing Centre of Excellence. We are an optimal communications hub with a major fibre-optic digital cable PoP that directly connects NI to North America and Europe through a landing station on the North Coast at Coleraine.
