Founded in 2012 and based in Panama City, Florida, CBF Consulting Engineers is a multidisciplinary consulting firm that provides a range of professional and technical services, including planning, program management, general engineering and the role of owner's authorized representative, to diverse clients in private and public sectors. Northwest Florida CBF employees have played a major role in infrastructure improvement in numerous private and public projects. Mr. Chris Forehand, P.E., is the President and leads the firm in all aspects in order to provide excellent service and client satisfaction. Mr. Forehand was the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Preble-Rish, Inc. (PRI) Consulting Engineers and Surveyors and was with them from 1997 to 2012. While with PRI, Mr. Forehand played a major role in all large and complex projects completed by the firm. Mr. Forehand also played a major role in growing the firm by adding a Survey Department and obtaining multiple City and County Continuing Services Contracts. Mr. Forehand was also heavily involved in expanding PRI to other markets by opening new offices in Baldwin County, AL and in Lake City, FL. In 2012 Mr. Forehand decided to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning his own firm without multiple partners and sold his 30% of stock in PRI to the remaining partners.
