This diversification has also enabled CCI's employees to perform a large majority of the work on our projects. Due to these multi-talented employees, subcontractors are rarely utilized, allowing CCI to have greater control over the quality and cost of each project. Along with the drug-testing program required by the Department of Transportation, CCI has in place an aggressive safety program. Some areas which employees are trained in are Excavation Safety, First Aid, and hazardous material management (Hazwoper). Included in the insurance policies is a general liability policy and an automobile policy with coverage limits to three million dollars as well as Workmen's Compensation Insurance on all employees and subcontractors. CCI currently holds an EMR of .92 for the insurance year 1999-2000.
