Companhia Estadual de Geração e Transmissão de Energia Elétrica - CEEE-GT engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The company operates hydroelectric plants; and approximately 6000 kilometers of power transmission lines, as well as distributes electricity in 72 municipalities. It provides electricity to approximately 1.7 million people. The company was founded in 1943 and is based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Companhia Estadual de Geração e Transmissão de Energia Elétrica - CEEE-GT is a subsidiary of Companhia Estadual de Energia Eletrica Participações.
