Centacare NENW
Centacare New England North West (NENW) was established in 2001 by the Bishop of the Armidale Diocese Most Reverend Bishop Luc Matthys, to extend counselling services to families and children of the Diocese of Armidale. The Diocese of Armidale is the second largest Diocese in New South Wales and covers a significant portion of North Western NSW. Towns encompassed in this area include Armidale, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Moree, Narrabri and Inverell and 15 other towns ranging from Tenterfield in the north, Quirindi in the south and Walgett in the west. Centacare NENW has six offices. These offices are located in Tamworth, Armidale, Moree, Narrabri, Inverell and Walgett. A range of services are offered to the surrounding areas from these centres. Centacare NENW offers services to all residents of the Armidale Diocese regardless of race, age, gender or religious denomination. Services are funded by the Federal and State Governments, The Diocese of Armidale and the Catholic Schools Office of the Armidale Diocese.
