Centrick Property was established in 2005 with one simple goal; to deliver a better, friendlier and more efficient service than that offered by other property service companies in the market. Born out of frustration with the way block management companies were looking after their own homes, Centrick Property, the brainchild of directors and founders - old school pals, James Ackrill and Shane Bland, started life as a residential estate management provider. From humble beginnings, managing just a few apartment blocks for residents who were prepared to put their faith in a young company, the friends demonstrated the passion and care that gave their clients the personal service they knew was lacking within the industry. They were determined to deliver exceptional quality on each and every site. Centrick Property was soon awarded recognition from ARMA (Association of Residential Managing Agents) and continued to build its portfolio of managed properties on the back of its growing reputation as a result of the kind words and recommendations of its happy clients. Impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the burgeoning business, developer and freehold investor clients started to enlist the services of Centrick Property in more comprehensive property asset management involving not only facility management of communal areas, but also the marketing of residential units for sale and to let. This meant that when the opportunity of a high profile shop front premises next to Birmingham's landmark Mailbox development came up in 2007 it was a 'no-brainer' for Birmingham boy James to jump at the chance to add a further string to the Centrick bow by opening a property sales and lettings agency to offer that same service quality and care to individual landlords and vendors as well as its larger estate management clients. To ensure that not only were client's properties being looked after, by the already strong management team, to the same high, Centrick standard, experienced marketer Carina Hill (later to become Carina Ackrill) joined the management team as Sales & Lettings Director. Carina brought with her top notch marketing solutions which the company could also offer for its clients' properties. Centrick Property now has five customer-friendly offices - two in central Birmingham, one in Solihull, one in Nottingham city centre and an office in central London - with circa 70 staff looking after over half a billion pounds worth of client assets. But its ambition has never been to be the biggest, just to strive to be the best. With the original directors still at the helm and remaining passionate about making sure the values they built the business on - combining a better, personal service, plus the determination to deliver the right results for its clients time and again - remain firmly at the Group's core.
