Cerami & Associates was founded as an acoustical consulting firm in 1965 by Vito V. Cerami, and the company quickly developed a well-deserved reputation for finding practical, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to real life design problems. During its first two decades under the leadership of Mr. Cerami, Cerami & Associates helped advance many design and construction practices now commonly used for noise and vibration control in modern commercial and residential buildings. Numerous acoustical consulting firms in New York City and the surrounding area were founded by engineers trained under the tutelage of Mr. Cerami, whose influence in the field cannot be underestimated.
